Another Valentine’s Day down and how are we in mid-February already?! How are you feeling? Too many sweets? Have the resolutions been pushed aside or are you feeling great?!?

All the sweets, fats and caffeine can tax your already over-worked liver, our largest organ inside the body. Livers are the purification centers for our blood and all the toxins absorbed are filtered and deactivated. The liver must try to cope with every toxic chemical including the thousands of chemicals which are added to foods and over 700 that have been identified in drinking water.

The liver also:

  • Produces bile – needed for proper digestion
  • Metabolizes fats
  • Stores vitamins, minerals and sugars – needed for energy
  • Builds and breakdown hormones

As you can see the liver is extremely important for us to function optimally. To show your liver some much needed love we are going to do a gentle 1 Day Mini Liver Cleanse on March 1st and would encourage you to join us. I will provide a list of tasty foods to eat, a detox tea to drink (you can buy at the store) and the ingredients to include in the detox bath.

Cleanse benefits may include:

  • Increased energy
  • Brighter skin
  • Cell regeneration

You can ease into the cleanse by eliminating caffeine, sugar, gluten and dairy 2 days before and 2 days after the cleanse for optimal results.

Feel free to email me and let me know if you want to do the mini liver cleanse. I will be sending out the documentation a week before so it will give you time to prepare.

Simple ways to show your liver some love daily include:

  • Drinking warm water with lemon first thing when you wake up
  • Eat a nutrient dense diet (fruits, vegetables, spices)
  • Eat bitter and sour foods
  • Eat calciferous vegetables
  • Drinking bone broth
  • Decrease refined grains
  • Limit sugar intake
  • Make sure you are watching your Omega-6 to Omega-3 ratio (MORE OMEGA 3)

In health and happiness,

Maddie
